The onboarding wizard walks you through your account basics (business name, contact, booking URL), then you set up your services: name, duration, price, description. Working hours, calendar and notifications

How does it integrate with the booking process?
After a successful payment (Stripe, Barion, or SimplePay), AI Booking automatically generates the invoice in your chosen system — the guest's name, address, VAT rate, and service description are transferred automatically. The invoice PDF is sent to the guest's email address, and it also appears in your own system.
VAT rates and special cases
The default Hungarian VAT rate is 27%, but a custom rate can be set per service: e.g. healthcare services (psychologist, doctor) are often VAT-exempt. For foreign guests, EU VAT rules may also apply. It's always recommended to consult an expert on tax matters.
Proforma invoice + bank transfer
If the guest doesn't pay online (e.g. pays via company bank transfer), the system automatically generates a proforma invoice, which the guest receives by email. Once the transfer arrives, you confirm the final invoice together with your accountant in the AI Booking admin. Useful for B2B bookings.
Refunds and cancellations
If you refund the guest's payment, the cancellation invoice is also generated automatically. The online invoicing system automatically reports the cancellation to the NAV (Hungarian tax authority). You only initiate the refund in the AI Booking admin — the rest is automatic.

Do I need a separate Billingo or Számlázz.hu subscription?
Yes, you need a separate subscription to your own plan with the invoicing provider. AI Booking only provides the API integration. Both Billingo and Számlázz.hu offer a free or low-cost starter plan.
Is invoicing automatic?
Yes, after successful payment the invoice is generated automatically within 1-2 seconds, and the guest receives it by email as a PDF.
What if the guest's billing details are incorrect?
Before the booking process, the guest is required to provide billing details (name, address, possibly tax number). If the data is incorrect, it can be manually corrected in the admin before the invoice is issued. A cancellation + new invoice is always possible afterward as well.
Can I use it as a flat-rate or simplified taxpayer too?
Yes, both Billingo and Számlázz.hu handle Hungarian tax forms. For tax questions, it's always advisable to consult an accountant — the system automates the operational side.
Can multiple companies or multiple tax numbers be managed?
Yes, if you run several businesses, a separate AI Booking account is recommended for each — every account can have its own Billingo/Számlázz.hu connection. In the Pro package, a separate invoicing profile can also be configured per staff member.
What about foreign guests?
For B2B within the EU, a VAT-exempt (reverse charge) invoice can be issued, while for guests outside the EU, a Hungarian VAT-exempt export invoice applies. The invoicing system automatically handles the VAT rules based on the guest's data.
Is online shipping notification (NAV) compliant?
Yes, both Billingo and Számlázz.hu online invoicing systems automatically forward invoice data to NAV (the Hungarian tax authority). AI Booking only triggers the invoice issuance — forwarding to NAV is the invoicing system's responsibility.
